This webnair will cover the definitions of lacerations, abrasion's. bruises or contusions. Many photographs of injury will be presented to help the participant understand the difference between a laceration and abrasion.

VOICES is a national advocacy committee sponsored by the Verizon
Foundation. Its members, many of whom have received services at a
Family Justice Center, are survivors of domestic violence now
celebrating their strength and survival by using their voices in the
hopes of helping others through advocacy, education and empowerment.
VOICES also seeks to develop communication protocols, opportunities for
public speaking and advocacy, and a strategic plan for development of
National Chapters.

Dilkhwaz Ahmed is a Kurdish women rights activist from Kurdistan of Iraq. She received her degree in Psychology from Baghdad University in 1988. For four years, Ms. Ahmed was Executive Director of Nawa Center (shelter for abused women) in Sulaimantya.
