Coordinating Dispatch, Police, Medical, Prosecution & Advocacy Responses

Content: This training is presented by internationally recognized experts in the criminal justice response to domestic violence strangulation: Gael Strack (former San Diego Assistant City Attorney and now executive director of the National Family Justice Center Alliance); Dr. Dean Hawley, forensic pathologist and of the faculty at the Indiana School of Medicine; and Investigator Michael Agnew of the Fresno Police Department’s DV Unit. This interactive and multimedia training will demonstrate how to respond to, investigate, document and prosecute domestic violence strangulation cases; and how criminal justice, advocacy and medical systems need to collaborate in order for a safe response and an effective investigation/prosecution to happen.
