|
|
The international internship program, administered by the National Family Justice Center Alliance, is geared toward professionals and students. You will have access to a computer and will have time for research, if needed. Please note that all volunteer and internship positions are unpaid.

Housing:
Many of our international interns find a host family to stay with while they are in San Diego. We may be able to help you find a family. Other interns have opted to stay at a hostel. Alternatively, you may want to check Craigslist to find temporary housing.

"The projects were always very interesting and I felt fully accepted by everyone. It was not like
I was an intern from a foreign country but instead a member of the team." |

"I learned a lot about domestic violence from the very beginning of my internship. It was and it still is a very important topic that should not be ignored. Everybody should be concerned about domestic violence and it is important for victims to know where they should go to get help and have hope again. It`s everybody`s duty to help these victims." |

"The best part of the internship was spending four days in New Orleans, LA for the New Orleans Promising Practices Conference. During the conference, I learned a lot about strangulation & cyber stalking. We [Stephanie & Susanne] also got the chance to visit the New Orleans Family Justice Center, which opened in 2007." |
