About the Family Justice Center Alliance

The Family Justice Center Alliance, a program of Alliance for HOPE International, focuses on developing and supporting multi-agency collaboratives and multi-disciplinary models where victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, human trafficking, and other forms of violence can come ONE PLACE. Every day victims of interpersonal violence, and their children, are forced to navigate complex systems to receive critical services while gripped by fear and heartbreak. They need agencies in the public and private sector to work together during the crisis and long after the crisis. For many victims, the journey of receiving services means they must tell their story several times, and receiving help often proves to be too burdensome and in the process many lose hope and return to their abusive situations. Family Justice Centers, and similar multi-agency, co-located service models, change the way the system works, simplifying and coordinating the web of service providers, so the system works more effectively for those in need. The Family Justice Center Alliance seeks to create pathways to HOPE for survivors and their children, and the pathway often begins with ONE PLACE they can go to get as many services as possible. As we have done in more than 75 communities (rural, tribal, suburban, and urban), the Alliance provides guidance, planning assistance and training needed to create ONE PLACE. The journey to a Family Justice Center, or similar model, transforms not only our communities but the lives of those we serve.

Our Mission:

To create a network of national and international Family Justice Centers and similar Multi-Agency models with co-located services, close working relationships, shared training and technical assistance, collaborative learning processes, coordinated funding assistance, and transformational leadership.
