Investigation and Prosecution of Financial Elder Abuse

Created by Deputy District Attorney Paul Greenwood and Alliance in September of 2010, this Webinar discusses the Investigation and Prosecution of Financial Elder Abuse. The Webinar highlights the financial exploitation of elders in detail, covering such topics as undue influence, and confronting the obvious defense of "she loaned it to me, or he wanted me to have it." The training also provides a demonstration of a popular short presentation that Paul gives to senior groups all over San Diego County, entitled "Top Ten Tips for Seniors - How To Reduce the Risk Of Becoming a Victim of Elder Abuse." The Webinar also includes case studies and offers suggestions on how to present evidence of financial exploitation through a criminal prosecution.
