Financial Literacy Training – Mann – 2015
In this webinar, U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Margaret Mann will discuss important financial literacy lessons, tactics and techniques on how to use credit wisely, basics of banking, how to avoid credit card debt, and understand the consequences of leading a debt-filled rather than a debt-free life. Financial literacy is more than balancing a checkbook or seeking out the best deals for groceries or a major purchase. It also includes setting financial goals and taking time to map out a plan to reach those goals. Financial literacy is the effective management of your financial life. When you are financially literate, you have the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions regarding your financial resources for a lifetime of financial well-being. We encourage survivors, advocates, and front line staff to attend this webinar to better understand and create financial literacy programs.
