Polyvictimization Final Report

In 2016, the United States Department of Justice Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) launched a national demonstration initiative to address the complex and interconnected needs of Family Justice Center clients who have experienced polyvictimization.

The Polyvictimization Initiative recognized individuals who have had cumulative exposure to unmitigated trauma are at greater risk for future victimization and adverse health effects during their lifetime, and challenged Family Justice Centers to take a broader, more holistic approach to working with clients who have experienced polyvictimization.

This is the final report for this initiative, where we share its impact through the words of those who participated.
