Providing LGBT Services and Programs at a Family Justice Center

Presented by Ted Farley, Esq., and hosted by the Alliance in September of 2011, this webinar training focuses on providing LGBT services and programs at a Family Justice Center. Domestic violence in the Lesbian, Gay, Transgender, and Bisexual (LGBT) community is a serious issue. Many experts believe that domestic violence in the LGBT community goes highly unreported. This webinar provides an overview of domestic violence dynamics in same sex relationships. The webinar also shares valuable tools and insights on how to work effectively with LGBT clients. The training specifically examines how family violence professionals can sensitively communicate, provide services, and build trust with LGBT clients at a Family Justice Center.
