Presented by the Corporate Alliance to End Partner Violence and hosted by the Alliance in 2012, this webinar discusses how the documentary, Telling Amy’s Story, can be used as a tool for Family Justice Centers to engage their local business community. The documentary Telling Amy’s Story follows the timeline of a domestic violence homicide that occurred on November 8, 2001. The victim’s parents and co-workers, law enforcement officers, and court personnel share their perspectives on what happened to Amy in the weeks, months, and years leading up to her death. Kim Wells, the Executive Director of the Corporate Alliance to End Partnership Violence, highlights how Telling Amy’s Story has been successfully used at workplaces as a tool to educate employees and managers regarding domestic violence and high-risk cases. Specifically, Kim will discuss how Family Justice Centers and other multi-agency collaboratives can use Telling Amy’s Story to increase the business community’s awareness of a local Family Justice Center and the numerous services provided at the Center.
